The Department of Modern Languages at The University of
Mississippi is seeking a full-time (12-month appointment)
Instructor for its intensive flagship program in Mandarin
Chinese beginning June 2009. The instructor will teach all
levels of Chinese following the program's curriculum and
guidelines. Candidates must demonstrate substantial training
and experience in teaching Chinese to American university
students, as well as work in second language acquisition.
M.A. degree or equivalent in Chinese or second language
acquisition and native or near-native proficiency in
Mandarin Chinese are required.
This position is renewable annually pending continued
funding and positive evaluations. Visit
